Educator. Mentor. Proud NJCU alumna. Jersey City Teacher of the Year recipient. Krystal is committed to helping undergraduate Sorors succeed academically, grow as leaders, and build strong foundations for the future of Sigma Gamma Rho.
Soror Krystal Allbright is a Jersey City native, raised in Jersey City, working in Jersey City, and proud to be an NJCU alumna. She has been a member of Sigma Gamma Rho for more than 14 years and has served as Parliamentarian, Scholarship Chair, Community Service Chair, and Undergraduate Advisor to the Tau Gamma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho at Kean University.
Her candidacy for 2nd Anti-Basileus - Undergraduate Advisor is rooted in student success, mentorship, and leadership development. As an educator and mentor, Krystal understands the care, communication, and consistency undergraduate Sorors need as they grow into future chapter, regional, national, and community leaders.
Every day Krystal stands in front of a Jersey City classroom and sees what Sigma Gamma Rho’s promise can mean — a young person whose future grows stronger because someone showed up for them.
That’s the lens she’ll bring to 2nd Anti-Basileus. Student success, undergraduate development, leadership growth, and meaningful collegiate engagement will guide how she supports undergraduate Sorors.
Since our 2018 revitalization, the dedicated Sorors of Theta Phi Sigma have built something remarkable — a chapter known across Jersey City and the Oranges for showing up, partnering deeply, and making Greater Service tangible.
Krystal is running to honor that progress while strengthening support for undergraduate Sorors. Same principles. Same commitment. New focus on mentorship, communication, and leadership development.
The foundation established by the chapter and its dedicated Sorors makes the next chapter possible. Krystal will bring an educator’s heart, an advisor’s focus, and a Soror’s commitment to supporting undergraduate growth.
From ten charter Sorors at Morgan State to a thriving alumnae chapter — our lineage is the reason this candidacy is rooted in continuity.
Theta Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter was chartered at Morgan State University on January 30, 1999 during the Northeastern Region Mid-Winter Workshops — a new beacon for Sigma Gamma Rho in North Jersey.
Eighteen years later, eight Sorors revived the vision — bringing greater service and greater progress back to Jersey City & The Oranges, and sparking the growth the chapter sees today.
From the seven young educators who founded Sigma Gamma Rho at Butler in 1922 — to the women of Theta Phi Sigma today. Sisterhood, scholarship, and service remain at the front of everything we do.
Four priorities, one promise — to help undergraduate Sorors succeed, grow as leaders, and build strong foundations for the future.
Krystal’s educational leadership supports a campaign centered on student success, mentorship, and strong connections between alumnae and undergraduate Sorors.
